A jury awarded $310 million to the family of a teen who fatally fell from a #Florida ride. Tyree Sampson fell 70 feet to his death. Sampson stood 6-foot-5 and weighed 380 pounds. The family's attorney says height and weight restrictions were ignored at the park in #Orlando. The verdict was against the company that manufactured the ride and it did not send a representative to appear in court. The late teen's family sees that as a big slap in the face.

Tyre Sampson was a 14-year-old boy from St. Louis who tragically died on March 24, 2022, after falling from the Orlando FreeFall drop tower ride at ICON Park. Weighing 380 pounds, Sampson was above the ride’s weight limit, and investigations revealed sensors on his seat were manually adjusted to allow for a larger gap, failing to secure him. His death led to the ride’s dismantling and a $310 million verdict for his family. Tyre Sampson was remembered by his parents as a promising football player

Tyre Sampson, the gentle giant who plunged to his death at an amusement park in Orlando, Florida, stood at 6 foot 5, and weighed over 300 pounds. The 14-year-old had reportedly been turned away from at least two other rides at the park because of his size. The accident happened at ICON Park, where the 430-foot FreeFall ride is a popular attraction. In Europe, the maximum passenger weight on the ride is 287 pounds; in the US, there is no maximum weight restriction.#news #foryou #fyppppppppppppppp

deadhost.exe on Instagram: "On March 24, 2022, 14-year-old Tyre Sampson fell to his death from the “Orlando FreeFall” drop tower at ICON Park in Florida. Tyre, who weighed 383 pounds, was well above the ride’s weight limit but was allowed to board anyway. The investigation revealed a horrifying act of negligence: the ride’s safety sensors had been manually adjusted (widened) on two specific seats to accommodate larger guests. This allowed the ride to start even though Tyre’s harness was not safe
