All in a day's work! B.F.D came to the rescue of a female Jack Russell Terrier yesterday that had her head stuck in a steel pipe. The #dog and the section of pipe were brought to West Vet 24 Hour Animal #Emergency in Garden City, at which time they contacted Boise Fire for assistance. Our truck 6 crew and Battalion Chief Gifford had the dog extracted in less than an hour. The dog is still hospitalized but recovering nicely. | Boise Fire Department

At 10:30 am this morning, Boise and Meridian Fire were dispatched to a reported structure fire on the 9000 block of W Edna St. First arriving crews found heavy smoke coming from the home. Firefighters coordinated fire attack and worked to extinguish the fire, stopping fire spread to neighboring houses, while also searching for victims. Thankfully, all occupants made it out of the home safely. Crews remained on scene for several hours for extensive overhaul to ensure the fire would not reignite.
