From 1905 to now 📷 Bembridge Windmill is the only remaining windmill on the Isle of Wight, built around 1700 and last operated in 1913. It still has most of its original machinery intact. The windmill has been the star of many artist's interpretations including JMW Turner and George Brannon. It was also used a shelter and lookout during the two world wars. The windmill is a fascinating piece of the Isle of Wight's history and we have the privilege of looking after and maintaining it. #NationalT
