A 15-year-old was critically injured in a shooting in Northeast Philadelphia's Mayfair neighborhood Wednesday, police said. Video obtained by CBS News Philadelphia shows a mother and her kids running for cover when multiple gunshots erupt on Nesper Street. Philadelphia city workers clear out homeless encampments on Kensington Avenue

A fire at a garage building in the Kensington section of Philadelphia sent flames spouting from the roof and blew smoke into the surrounding residential community on Friday morning. The 2-alarm blaze broke out around 4:30 a.m. at E Street and Kensington Avenue. By 6:30 a.m. the worst of the flames were out but smoky conditions continued.
