Most people don’t know that Isa Brown freerangers chickens have only been in WA for about 20 months. All the other commercial birds were either the popular hylines or the Rhode Island hybrid. We were lucky enough to be one of the first farms to have the new Isa brown free-rangers last year. This week we chatted with some farmers over in the south west about how their Isa brown free rangers were going at 18 months, and how their lay rates are going.
