Many Bay Area locations use fireworks from other vendors than the company involved in Wednesday’s devastating fire and explosion.

SAN JOSE – A major explosion at a pyrotechnics facility in Yolo County has forced the cancelation of a Fourth of July fireworks display at Lake Cunningham Park in San Jose, but a celebration will still take place, according to an city official.

Yolo County Supervisor Angel Barajas put out an emergency update for his constituents following an explosion on Tuesday evening which destroyed a fireworks storage facility in Esparto.
