President Donald Trump proclaimed Thursday evening that “ALL TRADE NEGOTIATIONS WITH CANADA ARE HEREBY TERMINATED” due to an advertisement run on Canadian television that criticizes U.S. tariffs.

"Based on their egregious behavior, ALL TRADE NEGOTIATIONS WITH CANADA ARE HEREBY TERMINATED," Trump wrote on Truth Social.

Ontario Premier Doug Ford didn't back down and said Canada and the U.S. are friends, neighbors and allies "and Reagan knew that both are stronger together.”
