Quentin Grimes snapped a tie with a 3-pointer with 14 seconds left and scored 24 points, and Tyrese Maxey scored 28 to lead the Philadelphia 76ers to a 125-121 win over the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday night.

The 76ers were never equipped for a part-time Embiid before. There are still areas in which it will be a struggle -- most notably defense. But the 76ers have never come close to this sort of shot-creation depth, and that at least offers a pathway to building a viable offense without Embiid on the floor.

Maxey was playfully pointing out that Edgecombe did miss two free throws at the end that left the door ajar for Boston to try and pull it out. Payton Pritchard missed at the buzzer as the Sixers escaped with the win. Edgecombe then shouted from across the locker room: "Chill!" as the two young guards shared a laugh.
