No. 8 Ole Miss snapped a nine-game road losing streak against ranked opponents on Saturday with a dramatic 34-26 win at No. 13 Oklahoma that keeps the Rebels in prime position to reach the College Football Playoff for the first time in program history.

Trinidad Chambliss led the Rebels to a huge road win that puts Mississippi in tremendous shape to reach the playoff.

Despite Ole Miss going into halftime with a 22-10 lead, Oklahoma was able to storm back and actually go up 26-25 with 1:04 remaining in the third quarter after a Xavier Robinson 9-yard touchdown run. However, led by Ferris State transfer Trinidad Chambliss at quarterback, Ole Miss went on to score nine unanswered points to put the game on ice.

No. 8 Ole Miss improved to 7-1 and doesn't have a ranked team left on its schedule after wining 34-26 at No. 13 Oklahoma on Saturday.

Missouri State improved to 4-3 on Tuesday night thanks to a 7-yard touchdown pass from Jacob Clark to Ronnel Johnson in overtime, lifting the Bears over New Mexico State in a battle of .500 squads. The TD capped a productive day for Clark, who totaled 283 passing yards and a trio of passing touchdowns.

OU quarterback John Mateer missed reads and wide-open receivers in the Sooners' loss to Ole Miss. It's unclear if his injury is still hindering him.

Coming off a dominant defensive performance, the No. 13 Sooners return to Oklahoma Memorial Stadium for a homecoming matchup against No. 8 Ole Miss.
