It turned out to be another weekend to quickly forget: despite his impressive pole position, Max Verstappen played a minor role at the British Grand Prix. Mercedes fared even worse, but still, Verstappen considers the German team as a possible improvement over Red Bull for '26.

Max Verstappen managed to clinch a shock pole position ahead of both McLarens and both Ferraris, the clear favourites to nab the first and second row for the British Grand Prix. As it turns out Verstappen got a bit of help from Mercedes in the end.
