Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) touted the $750 million tax credit for film and television made in his state, calling it a “big part” of the “renewal” for Los Angeles. Newsom’s signature doubles the current tax credit of $330 million.

Both of California's Film & TV Tax Credit program amendments and the additional funding have now been approved and signed.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom joined “The Pitt” star Noah Wyle in Burbank to celebrate the expansion of the state’s film tax credit program, raising its cap from $330 million to $750 million. “The world we invented is now competing against us, and we need to step up our game,” he said.
