Officer Christopher Reese, 30, worked for the Virginia Beach Police Department for about three years when he and a second officer, Cameron Girvin, 25, were killed Friday night during a confrontation during the traffic stop, authorities said.

Virginia Beach police on Sunday released images of the officers who were shot to death Friday night. Cameron Girvin and Christopher Reese were gunned down after a traffic stop by a man police identified as as 42-year-old John Lee McCoy III. Reese became a Virginia Bech officer in 2022; Girvin in 2020.
