A potentially dangerous tornado outbreak could unfold across parts of the central United States over the next six days.

The warm front moving north through Michigan may spark a couple of isolate, but fairly large, thunderstorms this evening. Those few supercell thunderstorms may produce a tornado or two.

Instead of parking beneath an overpass, experts recommend exiting the highway to find a more suitable shelter. You cannot outrun a tornado in your car; however, NOAA says you can try to go in the opposite direction – if the storm is moving to your left, go right, and vice versa.
