"A Blue Bell employee discovered the incorrect packaging on two half gallons while restocking a retailer," read the announcement posted Friday by the Food and Drug Administration. "No illnesses or adverse reactions have been reported to date. No other incorrect packaging has been discovered or reported to date."

Numerous recalls have been initiated this year due to the potential for damaged products, foodborne illness and undeclared allergens.

A mistake that can be either an annoyance or deadly depending on the consumer caused Blue Bell to recall one lot of its Moo-llennium Crunch ice cream from the nation’s leading grocers such as Walmart, Kroger, Publix and Target.
