The 2026 PGA Tour season gets underway this week in Hawaii at the Sony Open, a week after the traditional starting event, The Sentry, was canceled due to course concerns. As such, it's been quite some time since golf fans watched the best of the PGA Tour in action.
The first win of the 2026 PGA Tour season officially belongs to Chris Gotterup. Last season’s Genesis Scottish Open Champion, Gotterup got off to an incredible start in Hawaii with an opening round at 7-under. He went 3-under through Friday and Saturday, but he was back with a closing 6-under round on Sunday to take home the win.
Davis Riley, the leader by two shots at 12 under, and Harry Hall, currently in six-way tie for second at 10 under, are in the final twosome and they have teed off on the first hole at Waialae to officially put all the golfers on the course for this final round. Of note: In that logjam at 10 under is Daniel Berger, who is 5 under through 10 holes.
