Taylor Sheridan has shocked fans with the news that he will be leaving behind Paramount for rival production studio NBCUniversal.

However, Sheridan's Paramount deal for television projects does not expire till the end of 2028, while the NBCUniversal deal will go into effect in early 2029, the New York Times article states.
