The U.S., Mexico, Costa Rica, and Jamaica bid to host the expanded 2031 Women’s World Cup, aiming to set new standards for women’s soccer globally.

The federation formally announced the plans on Monday at a news conference in Manhattan and noted it would be the “largest Women’s World Cup in history” if the uncontested bid was picked.

The United States plans to co-host the 2031 World Cup with regional neighbors, the same structure being used for the men's championship next year.
