At least three people have died and eight are injured following a shooting at Taste of the City Lounge in Brooklyn, New York, on Sunday, Aug. 17, according to the New York Police Department (NYPD). Police suspect that multiple shooters were involved in the incident.
In the 49-page ruling, Judge Gregory G. Katsas of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, a Trump appointee, wrote that Judge Amy Berman Jackson of the Federal District Court in Washington had no jurisdiction to block the Trump administration’s efforts to lay off about 1,500 of the C.F.P.B.’s 1,700 workers.
The move has already caused confusion among federal agents tasked with tackling local crime. "No one knows who is in charge or what they're supposed to do," one official said.
