The New England Patriots fell to the New York Giants in their last exhibition contest. On Friday morning, head coach Mike Vrabel announced multiple roster moves, including the release of a former Florida State standout. In what was a bit of surprise, second-year tight end Jaheim Bell was among the players that Patriots decided to cut.
With most starters sitting out, reserves and fringe players put on a show, leading the Giants to a 42-10 blowout victory over New England. It was the first time in franchise history that the Giants scored 30-plus points in three straight preseason games.
