The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race is a bit off the rails right now. The opening stage was filled with caution flags and wrecks. Corey Heim coasted to the stage win and added another playoff point to his total.
The Round of 16 in the NASCAR Playoffs wrapped up on Saturday night, with the Cup Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway. On a night when four drivers were knocked out of the playoffs and the Round of 12 was determined, there are plenty of winners and losers to examine from the NASCAR race today.

Denny Hamlin’s wheel failure at Bristol caused a crash and penalty, but his earlier win still secured a spot in the Round of 12.
Denny Hamlin is the oldest full-time driver in the NASCAR Cup Series at 44 years old (he’ll be 45 later this year), but he’s clearly still at the top of his game and having maybe his best season ever in his 20-year Cup Series career.
Race fans might recognize the Gateway Arch in the logo or recall one of the track’s previous names, be it Gateway International Raceway or Gateway Motorsports Park. While the famous Arch itself is in St. Louis, Missouri, the track sits just 10 minutes to the east in Madison, Illinois.
