Temperatures will be more typical for mid-September, with lows falling into the low-to-mid-70s. Slightly drier air will remain in place for Friday and into the weekend. This will lead to fewer chances of rain and storms at the end of the work week.

The reasons: Rounds of heavy rainfall Wednesday through Saturday may lead to localized urban flooding, with the greatest threat for flooding across the east coast metro of South Florida. The threat of flooding is both a day and an overnight concern.
For the rest of the week, Southern California will feel more like "Florida West," forecasters said, as remnants of Tropical Storm Mario move north, boosting humidity and the chance for strong thunderstorms.
