PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Pirates cut one of their veteran relief pitchers after a recent roster move. The Pirates released left-handed pitcher Ryan Borucki according to his transactions log, after they designated him for assignment on Aug. 15.
DeSclafani was designated for assignment by the Diamondbacks earlier this week when they recalled right-handed pitcher Juan Morillo. After clearing waivers, he was officially released to free agency as he had enough service team to reject a minor league assignment.
