LeBron James played his first road game of the season as the Lakers visited the Jazz in Salt Lake City on Tuesday. He made his season debut against Utah on Tuesday, scoring 11 points and handing out 12 assists in a 140–126 win,

Deandre Ayton was ruled out for the second half of the game, forcing head coach JJ Redick to start Jaxson Hayes in his place. However, Redick also decided to dust off Maxi Kleber who has played sparingly since being cleared to return.

During his post-game press conference, Luka Doncic shared a humorous anecdote about defeating Redick in a game of pickleball.
