A system is brewing in the tropics that may or may not become the next named storm this hurricane season.

AccuWeather forecasters said it's possible the system could strengthen into a hurricane in the warm waters of the Caribbean.

Given the favorable environment for strengthening and slow movement of the storm, interests in Haiti, Jamaica, and the rest of the Caribbean will need to continue keeping a close eye on Melissa.
