The latest winter storm has worked into Central Ohio. As snow picks up, totals will quickly climb.
Snow in the forecast brings more than just a winter wonderland. It also increases the chance of power outages. Winter precipitation can cause power lines to sag, particularly if a snow-laden branch pushes them down. Those power lines can snap, causing outages.
COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — Columbus residents can track the Snow Warriors' progress after nearly a foot of snow fell Sunday. As of Monday morning, the city's crews were working on clearing arterial and collector routes. They will work on those roads for the next several hours before moving on to residential routes.
