The Denver Broncos shuffled their roster again ahead of their matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers due to Dre Greenlaw and others.
The Denver Broncos held their first practice of Week 3 on Wednesday, preparing to take on the Los Angeles Chargers at SoFi Stadium. Absent from practice were linebacker Dre Greenlaw and tight end Evan Engram — two of the Broncos' big-three free-agent signings the past spring.

The Denver Broncos made three roster moves ahead of their Week 3 showdown with the Los Angeles Chargers. First, the Broncos elevated linebacker Garret Wallow and fullback Adam Prentice from the practice squad to the game-day roster. Wallow and Prentice are set to revert back to the practice squad on Monday.

Head coach Sean Payton said reporters would see Greenlaw “sooner than later” on Sept. 8 after Week 1, but Greenlaw has yet to be a full go in practice since training camp. The Broncos haven’t put the ILB on injured reserve, but will end up having wasted a roster spot if Greenlaw remains out through Week 4’s matchup with the Bengals.
The Denver Broncos have been battling injuries through two weeks of the season. They haven’t had Dre Greenlaw on the field at all this season, and it’s definitely hurting their run defense tremendously.
Hufanga (chest) was a full participant in practice Thursday, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports. The safety surfaced on the injury report Wednesday with the chest issue, as he was only able to practice on a limited basis.
