The body-domain architecture integrates most body functions into one large central-control module, including a message-routing central gateway (Fig. 2).

Ford is recalling over 213,000 Explorer and Lincoln Navigator SUVs due to faulty electronics that may cause trailer lights to fail.

A liquid spill in the rear seat, or water ingress from an insufficient body seam underneath the vehicle may allow liquid to penetrate the gateway control module, causing it to shutdown.

Some 2025 Corvette units will need body control module reprogramming that causes a check engine light to display. The fix is free of charge for owners.
