CLAIM: The Internal Revenue Service and the Treasury Department have approved $1,390 stimulus checks that will be distributed to low- and middle-income taxpayers by the end of the summer.

Stimulus checks were issued in April for taxpayers who did not receive the pandemic relief payments in 2021. While most taxpayers received checks during the pandemic, those who did not were eligible to file for a $1,400 payment through the IRS' Recovery Rebate Act.
