The Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Houston Rockets in double overtime at the Paycom Center in the NBA season opener on Tuesday, Oct. 21.

First, the Thunder played a double-overtime thriller against the new-look Houston Rockets, holding on to win 125-124 in an instant classic. And in California, the LeBron James-less Los Angeles Lakers lost their home opener 119-109 to the Golden State Warriors.

The Warriors have too much firepower for the Lakers, who continued to rally in the second half but fall short in the season opener.
