The 38-year-old was stabbed, hospitalized, and arrested after allegedly attacking a 69-year-old man, who also suffered serious bodily harm.
The new charge against Sanchez, a level 5 felony which could carry a 1-to-6-year sentence, was announced by officials on Monday morning.
