A Connecticut Lottery player from Waterbury also claimed a $50,000 prize as the Powerball jackpot continues to grow.
The player purchased the winning ticket from a Stop & Shop located at 44 Lake Avenue Extension in Danbury, according to Connecticut Lottery. It was the highest amount won by a Connecticut Lottery player or any Mega Millions player on Friday. The Connecticut Lottery player matched five white balls and earned the 2x multiplier.
The winning ticket was sold at Thompson Xtra Mart on 9 Woodstock Road in Thompson, according to the CT Lottery’s website.
