Former ASU running back Cam Skattebo, now a rookie making waves with the New York Giants, had a surprise visitor at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center.

In all of my years covering local sports at the [Sacramento] Bee, I would put Cam Skattebo on the shortest list of guys who were fun to watch, fun to talk to, and then you appreciate his journey as he continues onward,

Adding to the rookie running back's woes is a gruesome ankle injury that he suffered in Week 8. Skattebo underwent ankle surgery on Sunday, which presumably means his season is over. The 23-year-old running back totaled 617 yards from scrimmage and scored seven touchdowns in eight games this season.
