Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown has accomplished a lot in his career. However, he just had a first on Monday afternoon.

Tobias Harris scored 25 points and Jaylen Brown missed a jumper just before the buzzer, allowing the Detroit Pistons to hold on for a 104-103 win over the Boston Celtics in a matchup of teams with the best records in the Eastern Conference.

"It reflects outside of the city even more, because that becomes the perception of Boston. Because when people start to use words like racism, most people think it's like a color dynamic, but it's a power dynamic more than anything," Brown said before going into more detail.

"I'm really happy for him. I think for him, it started in the offseason with the way he approached it," said the Celtics coach.

The ultimate honor for an athlete is seeing their jersey raised to the rafters, and Celtics star Jaylen Brown received that distinction from his alma mater, Wheeler High School, on Friday.
