Bengals snap count takeaways vs. Jets
Unlike the defensive ends, the starters at linebacker are also the leaders in snaps. Barrett Carter took 100% of defensive snaps once again, while Demetrius Knight took 88%. Knight also led the team in tackles with 12 total. Team captain Logan Wilson played 28% of snaps, which was 20 snaps total. Oren Burks played only one defensive snap.
The Bengals rank last in the NFL in scoring defense and total defense. Many of the rest of their numbers don't look much better.
CINCINNATI — Ja'Marr Chase had a blank face of disgust after the Bengals' 39-38 loss to the Jets, wasting another stellar outing by the Bengals' top healthy offensive player. Chase had 12 catches for 91 yards in the loss, which saw Cincinnati lose its third of four games since the start of last year when scoring 38-plus points.
Bengals receiver Ja'Marr Chase after the stunning Week 8 loss to the Jets: "I play offense. I'm not worried about what the defense (has) gotta do."
CINCINNATI — Bengals linebacker Shaka Heyward suffered a leg injury (fibula) in the first half of Sunday's game against the Jets and didn't return. The special teams' ace will miss at least four weeks according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

With Joe Burrow, they shouldn’t be feeling this way. It should be different, but it’s not.
Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Shaka Heyward reportedly is expected to miss about four weeks with a hairline fracture to his left fibula.
